What you’ll study as an SES major
You’ll develop the knowledge and skills to help build a more sustainable future — examining how resources are used, how technologies affect ecosystems, and how biodiversity can be conserved, while gaining experience in GIS analysis and exploring the economic, policy, and ethical dimensions of environmental decision-making.
Our flexible, interdisciplinary pathways give you the skills and insight to address complex environmental challenges. Choose from themes like ecosystem conservation, sustainable agriculture, and sustainable design to deepen your expertise.
Build hands-on experience with meaningful outcomes by applying your learning in the real world. Participate in the junior practicum to address real-client challenges and complete an approved internship, summer research project, or project-based off-campus study.
Develop real-world career readiness in sustainability. Connect with a mentor in your field, get an internship with a sustainability-related organization, and create a portfolio to build your leadership, networking, and project-management skills.
